Rob Lieb serves as the Vice President of the Discovery Center Board of Directors. He is a former senior research physicist at the Army Research Laboratory, and an Associate Professor of physics teaching a full range of undergraduate physics and engineering courses for over a decade.  Rob has always worked to instill and keep alive the wonder of science. For over 40 years he has visited classrooms, both public and private, to demonstrate that all students can know and understand physical principles, and appreciate the wonders of nature. For over a decade he has mentored seniors at the Science and Math Academy in Harford County, and is a founding member of the Senior Science Society whose motto is to “Ignite the Spark of Science”.  He is dedicated to spreading the good news about science and promoting the need to keep technology in the forefront of everyone’s life.  Dr. Lieb holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Physics from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
